Did you know that Gleaners Community Food Bank distributes more than 43 million pounds of food in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties to those in need? That equals roughly 96,000 meals each day, along with providing nourishing food and nutrition education to 171,000 children a year.
For years, the teams at CG Detroit® and the JRT agency® have happily given their time to volunteer at Gleaners. So when the Michigan Fitness Foundation (MFF) approached us to help out with the truck wraps for their new Healthy Choices Catch On campaign, we literally jumped at the chance. Collaborating with MFF and RedHead Design, we were able to take their vision and produce graphics featuring local families. Gleaners provided the trucks and our installers worked their magic to apply the wraps so the moving billboards could hit the road to spread the word and get Michigan in motion.
Healthy Choices Catch On, a statewide social marketing campaign promoting physical activity and the consumption of fruits and veggies, is managed by the Michigan Fitness Foundation with support from Gleaners Community Food Bank. In addition to the campaign’s focus on healthy eating, Gleaners offers cooking and nutrition education that provides life skills and inspires healthy habits for participants across Southeast Michigan.
